This original Tula marked Mosin Nagant Front and Rear Barrel Band Set with Buttons is a hard-to-find, complete hardware set. Both pieces feature the unique mechanical "button" clasp on the base that securely locks the band edges together.
First issued on Dragoon patterns, this labor-intensive button-lock design was carried over into early 91/30 production between 1930 and 1932 before Soviet arsenals phased it out in favor of simpler mass-production split bands. This makes a matching front and rear set a prized find for collectors looking to eliminate mismatched parts and secure their rifle's wood handguard and stock to correct factory specifications.
