This rifle is one of a kind. The pictures are of the actual rifle you will receive.
This SKS is very rare and quite possibly one of the nicest, most complete Russian Izhevks SKS rifles we have ever seen!
These SKS rifles are highly sought after because they were made for less than 2 complete years (1953-1954). Izhevsk had just stopped manufacturing the TT-33 pistols some time in 1952-53 so the manufacturing of the SKS was strictly a stop gap to keep the factory running until the AK-47s could be put into quantity production.
The high polished bluing on this rifle really sets it apart from other Russian and other countries SKS rifles. The stock has a nice shellac finish on it and both the stock and bluing are original and have never been re-arsenaled. You can see the condition in all the pictures. The bore is in excellent condition as this rifle does not seemed to be shot much. This rifle comes with its original buttstock cleaning kit.
