This rifle is one of a kind. The pictures are of the actual rifle you will receive.
This rifle is 1942 dated. Only 49,350 made that year.
There is a “56” stamped on the tang of the rifle that means it went through a factory refurbishment or inspection in 1956. On K31 Swiss rifles, this is highly desired as most received new barrels and any worn parts were replace to increase accuracy back the original specs.
This rifle does retain the desired “Soldier’s identification tag” under the buttplate.
The stock is Walnut and it has a tiger stripped hand guard. The tiny crack in stock (very normal on these rifles) in front of the bolt release that has been glued and pegged from the inside.
There are matching serial numbers on the hand guard, stock, bolt, magazine, barrel band, soldiers tag, and barrel itself.
The bore is excellent, bright and shiny with strong rifling.
The import mark is discretely located on the front of the barrel instead of on the side of the receiver.
