This barreled action is one of a kind. The pictures are of the actual item you will receive.
This is a German K98 JP Sauer & Son barreled receiver marked CE 43 with proof marks intact. Only 183,321 JP Sauer K98’s were made that year. This is very low production number to begin with then late in the year, they changed the script ce to the “block letter” CE receivers. These late receivers were actually manufactured by Erma as indicated by the 280 waffenamt on the side. Erma made K98s from 1935 to 1942 then sub contracted parts to other manufacturers as in this case. JP Sauer assembled the rifle and as such put their crest marks on it. Being a low production year and an Erma made receiver make this a very desirable action. With the visible x on the receiver denotes that it is most likely a Russian capture gun and was re-arsenaled by them at some time.
The barrel, receiver, sight base, rear sight and all trigger parts are waffenamt marked but not matching numbers. Only the barrel and receiver are matching numbers. From bore condition see pics. The bore appears to have strong rifling. It needs to have a good cleaning.
