This flare gun is one of a kind. The pictures are of the actual pistol you will receive.
Some collectors refer to this as the "Model 52" not because it was designed in 1952, but that at one time this gun was part of the International No. 52 marine distress signal kit. These flare guns were made for commercial and military wartime use.
This flare gun has a 10 3/4 inch overall length with an 8 3/8 inch barrel. The steel barrel is painted black and retains most of its original finish. There is a round spot on the barrel where finish is gone due to wear not rust. The brass is in original condition not “polished” like most that were seen on the market at one time or another. All the markings on the grip are crisp but the 43 date appears to be over stamped for some reason. It is in perfect working order with a tight action, proper firing pin length and functioning ejector.
These are not considered Destructive
Devices unless you have anti-personal round in possession with it. See
this document that contains the ATF Ruling on gas guns. https://www.atf.gov/file/55446/download
