This rifle is one of a kind. The pictures are of the actual rifle you will receive.
This
Egyptian Hakim is a well maintained specimen as most have corroded gas
systems and bores. We took pictures of the disassembled rifle to show
you exactly what the condition it is in and what you are getting.
All
the springs are strong and action works as it should. The detailed
pictures show condition of the rest of the rifle and we did the best we
could to get bore pics.
The stock is free of cracks. It has an arsenal repair on the forearm. The hand guard fits tight as it should.
The
gas system valve works flawlessly, the adjustment spring is tight with
audible clicks as it is adjusted and the gas tube going from the gas
block to the receiver is also free of corrosion. When the rifle was
reassembled the gas valve was adjusted to the lowest setting so you can
adjust it to your ammo of choice. There is specific made tool to adjust
the gas valve on the Egyptian 8mm hakim but others tools have been used
to get the job done. The adjustment valve regulates how much gas is bled
off the barrel to work the action of the rifle. The hotter the ammo,
the less gas you need, the lighter the ammo you open it more. This works
well as you don’t end up beating the rifle to death with hot ammo but
it will still function with light ammo.
Since all the writing on the rifle is not in English it is hard to tell if all the parts are matching, so see pics.
The Hakim is a licensed copy of a Swedish ljungman made in 8mm Mauser cartridge.
