This is an authentic, surplus Chinese Type 56 SKS semi-automatic carbine rifle manufactured at the famous Factory 26. Chambered in the reliable 7.62x39mm caliber, this historically significant firearm features a highly collectible, distinct reddish-brown Phenolic "Jungle" Stock, originally designed to withstand harsh, humid environments.
This rifle is not import marked. Either it was a bring back or here before 1968. It also has the correct amount of finish wear for the “look” of a Jungle Carbine.
The bore is in very good condition and is chrome lined for corrosion resistance. The receiver, magazine, trigger guard and bolt carrier have matching numbers. The bolt doesn’t match.
This
firearm must be cleaned and inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to
firing. The firearm listed is sold as is, without warranty expressed or
implied. Family Firearms is not liable for any injuries resulting from
use.
